Konstantin Golava, outspoken Russian human rights and LGBT equality activist from Samara region, a strong advocate for alternative civilian service, is facing CRIMINAL charges for EXTREMISM, under Art. 282 (incitement to ethnic hatred).
He was detained today at his apartment, delivered to a local police station and then to the regional Investigative Committee for questioning. Konstantin's apartment was searched; his phone, laptop, and data storage equipment were seized by the police. His legal defender links the detention with Konstantin's civic activism. And yes, he is a loud voice and a strong rights activist -- which is sadly evident from the measures being taken to silence him.
Please pray for Konstantin. And please spread the news. I will keep you updated, as there might be a need to involve international community (your governments etc.).

Bishops seeking to address the priest shortage are "merging active and vibrant parishes into anonymous and unmanageable superstructures," the letter said.
